Speech Bubble #11: I Love my Cats

I have not posted in forever. And for that I apologize. I didn't even post my special birthday post because I'd been so caught up in my birthday.
But this is an adorable post that is one of my personal favorites!

I have cats. Two cats. Their names are Spike and Sophie. And I love them. A lot.
So I decided to get some pics of them! And I got a boatload of pics. I hope you like cats, because these are some of the pictures of my cats and they are utterly adorable.
Enjoy!

The pictures of Spike are on the left and the pictures of Sophie are on the right. Sophie is much more shy than Spike, and she rarely comes out. But Spike it friendly, and that's why I have more pictures of him.
I hope you liked this post!

Speech Bubble #10: Minecraft

Hi everyone!
What's up? How've you been doing? I'm good, thanks for asking!
Something good about me? Well, I've been playing this awesome game called Minecraft that I know a lot of kids all ages love to play, too! You want to hear more? Okay!

Minecraft is a game of building. So here is some information on the game!

MODES: There are different modes which allow you to do different things. There's Survival Mode, which means you have to get your own food by killing cows, pigs, etc, you can get hurt by falling to far, starving, and it's really fun to make a house for yourself as well! In Creative Mode, you can fly around, not die, not eat, and have unlimited materials! And in Hardcore, well, it's hardcore stuff. You can't respawn in Hardcore after you die like in Survival.

SERVERS: You can play on servers, which means you are playing Minecraft with other people. Sometimes they are people you know and sometimes they are just random people who happen to be playing Minecraft at the same time as you are!

SKINS: This is how you look on Minecraft. In the picture above, that skin is the skin that you have to start off with and that's Steve. :) I don't know why he's called Steve. Don't ask me. You can be really anything! Knowing people can be mostly anything, they are mostly anything!

This is a Sonic the Hedgehog skin. That just about proves you can be anything.

SPAWNING: When you first go on Minecraft, you'll have to spawn somewhere. How you do this is really easy. Just click "Create New World," name your world where you are going to build, pick your mode and this is optional, but you can also choose a seed, (see SEEDS.) Then you click the "Create New World" button again and you're in! You will then wait about a minute and Minecraft will spawn you either in snow, the desert, the plains, the mountains or in the water. Wherever you spawn you will always have access to animals because there is not one Minecraft world with absolutely no animals. So basically you'll always have dinner. :) You can also spawn in villages, dungeons, etc.

SEEDS: If you have a seed, you click "More World Options" and you type the seed in. A seed is numbers, words or just about anything that will always spawn you in the same place when you type that seed in. For example, WoLf_MaN and gimmeavillage spawns you in villages. That is basically all you need to know about seeds.

There is so much more to Minecraft, but if I say it all this post will be really, really, really, really, really long, so I will save you the seven hours of reading and not put it all in. :)

Tomorrow is special: It's my birthday!
So I'm posting a little birthday celebration post tomorrow!
So wish me happy birthday!

Speech Bubble #9: The Amazing Spiderman

Hey everyone!

I am so sorry I haven't been posting. I have been super busy and I am going to try to make sure that I can get back to posting on a regular basis. About the duct tape wallets: I am not going to post pictures of them because there are so many. I'm very sorry about that, too.

But this post is going to be awesome! It's about The Amazing Spiderman, the movie.

Emma Stone in the Amazing Spiderman.

The Amazing Spiderman poster.

I did not expect this movie to be good. I don't usually like these kind of movies. But it was good! The lizard was really cool. I definitely recommend this movie to people who liked the first two, but this Spiderman was a little better that the last Spiderman in my opinion. I also love Emma Stone, so naturally I loved her in this role. :)

Hope you enjoyed this.
See you on Wednesday!

Speech Bubble #8: Stumble Upon

Hi again!

There is a great website that I love to go on called Stumble Upon. You first make an account. It is free! That's always good. :) Then, you choose interests. I'm interested in fashion and photography so I chose those two interests. You then click the "Stumble" button and it will take you to a random page about one of your interests. It's really cool! If you really like a page and you want to save it, you don't have to bookmark it. You can just click the "like" button and it will save it for you!

This is the link to Stumble Upon. Try it out!

That is Stumble Upon's logo.
I hope you have the greatest time on Stumble Upon!
I'll have Speech Bubble #9 ready on Monday!

Over the summer, I've taken lots of really nice pictures that I'd love for you to see! So I decided to post them right here on my blog as Speech Bubble #7. I hope you like them!

This is a picture of the Willis Tower in Chicago. Although, from a different point of view. :)

Leo Carillo Beach in Malibu.

 Treetops in Leo Carillo campsite

I have no explanation for this picture. It's just looking out from behind a tree!

Yummy, bright red strawberries at the Farmer's Market.

I'm sure in another Speech Bubble I'll post more pictures, and these aren't the only pictures I've taken this summer, but I just wanted to show you blog-readers some of them.
Please post comments if you want to and subscribe!
Speech Bubble #8 is coming today! It's a double-post day! Be sure to check it out!

Speech Bubble #6: The Hunger Games

Hi everyone!
I am so sorry that I couldn't post the video of my duct tape wallets. But soon I will post pictures of the outsides and the insides of all my wallets.
Again, I'm very sorry for the error. :(

But for today, I have a... (drumroll please) ...

Hunger Games
post!

I am obsessed with the Hunger Games. In fact, I am so obsessed that soon I am having a party all about the Hunger Games!
I think that the books are absolutely amazing and Suzanne Collins is a great author. The three books are:
Book 1: The Hunger Games
Book 2: Catching Fire
Book 3: Mockingjay

They recently made a movie of the Hunger Games, the first book, and it is coming out on DVD on August 18th. I'm so excited!
Hunger Games Trailer
This is the trailer for the Hunger Games movie.
On November 22nd, Catching Fire, the second movie, is being released. I can't wait for that one to come out. I'll definitely be in the movie theater to see it!
In this post, I will tell you some great ideas for a Hunger Games party, most of which I'm using.
NOTE: I did not come up with these ideas. I found these on the internet and I don't take credit for any of them. :)

1. You should have Hunger Games food. You can use blackberries or blueberries for nightlock, etc.
2. Dress like the Hunger Games! Tell your guests to either come in a costume, or put on a costume at the party.
3. Have your very own Caesar Flickerman or Effie Trinket. If you want to act out the Hunger Games (see 4) then you should have an Effie or a Caesar. This person can run the games, do interviews with the tributes, your guests, etc. Usually Effie does the games and Caesar does the interviews, but if you only have one person, it's fine to have just one to do both.
4. To act out the Hunger Games, you can train first (see 5) or not. You can have bags in the middle for the Cornucopia with water guns, dry food, Nerf Guns, etc. Then someone will do the countdown and the guests will either run to the Cornucopia to grab a bag, or run away.
5. For training, you can make a slingshot, do archery, make an obstacle course, swim, and much more.
6. Have fun! The most important thing at a party is being with friends and having fun, so enjoy your Hunger Games party!

See all of you guys tomorrow!

Speech Bubble #5: Where the Red Fern Grows

Hey everyone!

For my school, I have to read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. It's an amazing book and I would love to review it on my blog!

This is one of the book covers. There are multiple.

This is a wonderful book about a boy named Billy and his two dogs that he loves and hunts with. They are best friends and the unexpected happens many times, but Billy and his dogs Old Dan and Little Ann work together as a team to overcome anything they are faced with.

I just finished reading this book today and I fell in love with it. It is sad in some parts, but all together it has a great storyline and it clearly shows the strong friendship between Billy and his dogs.
I highly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down!

SURPRISE: There is going to be an extra special video post on Thursday, so hold on to your hats everyone, Thursday is going to be a day to look forward to!

Speech Bubble #4: The Olympics

Hey everyone!
So you all know about the Olympics, right? Well I've been watching them: especially gymnastics. I think it's incredible how people can run and do flips and jumps and so much more. I especially liked Gabby Douglas, the winner of the All-Around Gold Medal. She was great!

This is Gabby Douglas with her gold medal.

I think that her story was interesting, too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6yilJVqryg

This is a link to the video with Gabby Douglas's story. I think that all of it is very inspiring.
In the video, you will see Shawn Johnson for a very short period of time and I also thinks she rocks!
Another sport in the Olympics really interests me. I like long jump. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the mens long jump, but I'm glad they won a bronze. I compete in long jump, and my highest score is 10.8. I'm hoping for all the olympic athletes to win!

Go Team USA!
See you on Tuesday!

Speech Bubble #3: My Duct Tape Obsession

Hi everyone!
It's me again and I have an awesome post in store for you. You know what duct tape is, right? I hope so. And I can't survive without it. Not because I need to fix things with duct tape, but because I make crafts with it. In this post, I will have pictures and captions showing you how to make a rocking duct tape flower pen!

Cover a normal pen in duct tape.

Cut a two inch piece of duct tape.

Fold the top left or right corner (I did the left corner) down, leaving some of the stickiness showing on the side and bottom.

Then fold that triangle down so that the stickiness on the side is touching the stickiness on the bottom. You should still have some sticky on the bottom.

Stick the end of the stickiness on the bottom to the end of your pen and wrap the rest around making the beginning of your flower.

Keep repeating this same step.
TIP: don't worry about the flower going upwards. Just keep adding the petals next to each other and it will turn out great.

After you've done all the steps, it should look like this!

Now you have an awesome duct tape flower pen!
I learn how to do most of my creations from the Duck Brand website and their Youtube channel. If you want to learn more, check out them!
I'll have another cool post ready on Sunday!
Have a great weekend, blog readers!

Speech Bubble #2: Today's Fashion

So this morning I woke up and decided that today was a day to look cute. I quickly found an outfit that would suit my need and got dressed. Then, I pulled my hair back into a quick ponytail and smoothed the sides down with water to make a cleaner ponytail. After, knowing it was chilly early in the morning, I put on, as a jacket, a button down denim-looking shirt from H&M. I got the shorts and the shirt at Justice. I grabbed a vintage bag to complete the look. But the boots are by far the best. I'm ready for summer, but I'm still from California. These totally make me feel like that. My inspiration for writing the fashion part of my blog comes from Le Catch. This blog is amazing; you should definitely check it out.
That's pretty much it for this post. Post a comment and I'll have another post ready on Friday!
